TRANSLATION OF PATENT DOCUMENTATION
We received that project from a leading legal firm with a request to process around 500 pages of scanned documents on specialized patents of machines and upgrades of machines used in pharmaceutical and chemical industries. It required both an expedient conversion of documents into workable formats and rapid translation. A team of 15 people was involved, including 12 translators and 3 revisers. The translation was done from German, English and French into Polish. The challenge behind was to ensure the consistent use of terminology for key machine components, to gather the team and organize its work at a short notice and to convert documents into an editable format.
It was a true success. The client received a professional and very reliable translation, which was delivered within the pre-defined deadline. They appreciated the speed of our action and the expertise of our team members.
DRUG REIMBURSEMENTS
Pharma companies have been the core of our clients’ portfolio since our inception. One of our leading clients requested us to translate the set of documents necessary to get the official reimbursements for the drug to be marketed in Poland. The project involved the coordination of work of 27 sworn translators, working from 15 languages, including languages of lesser diffusion: Scandinavian ones, Slovenian, Portuguese and Bulgarian. Because all translations needed to be certified we had to coordinate the work of translators scattered across Poland, from Cracow, to Gdańsk and Białystok. As is always the case, the challenge ahead to meet very tight deadlines, which we did without the slightest delay thanks to an excellent management work and the use of our best practice.
WEBSITE CONTENTS AND IN-HOUSE APPLICATIONS
A number of our clients have an extensive offer of products which are marketed in Poland, and on many occasions we assist them in the translation of Website contents for Polish consumers. One of the most interesting projects for us was to translate both the client’s Website and their salesforce application. Translation requirements included terminological consistency and the knowledge of the corporate jargon which we agreed with the client on an on-going basis. The translation of Website pages and contents of the related application was assessed as exemplary. The client recognized our flexibility in action and, the speedy pace of work – a standard challenge in the industry, and the professional skills of translators.
CORPORATE POLICIES AND IN-HOUSE APPLICATIONS
Upon the request of the client representing one of the leading audit companies, we got involved in a translation project which initially lasted almost 2 months. It covered the translation of ca. 1,000 pages from Polish into a foreign language. Translated policies concerned nearly all aspects of business operations, including ethics, legal and financial issues. It was a true challenge; over the weeks, contents were updated and needed to be adapted to the required terminology and the writing style. As it turned out later, the client relied on the documents which we had translated and processed on several occasions, to make further updates and additions. For more than a one year we remained ready to respond to the client’s requests and managed to handle fully and flexibly all their requirements.
HR APPLICATION
With all technological advances under way, lots of businesses would produce new contents which require cross-disciplinary skills from our translators. The Polish branch of the international group which sold its product on the Polish market decided to confer to us the translation of the contents from the application used by their HR function. The whole project was split into 3 stages and lasted one year. The contents covered a wide range of topics: labor legislation, financial matters, and technical aspects of the application as well. We were requested to keep a consistent style and to adapt translated contents to the application framework. We managed to meet all the requirements in an exemplary way: the feedback from the client was quite positive and translated contents did not require any further modifications or editing.
